Interesting point about intercutting. Definitely ups the tension, and is something I tend to save for these big blow-out storyline. Otherwise, Triverse tends to be quite contained per chapter.

I'm enjoying your speculations on this storyline, but I'll save further comment until it's done (probably next week).

Cool. Still don't think you'll go nuclear. 👍 Of course a big influx of energy into active portals might not just channel destructive shockwaves across three worlds. There's other fun things which could happen. Portals could enlarge. Portals could be created willy-nilly. All depends on what's going on with the original spell. Aera could arrive in a "Mechanical Crown" crossover. Sally could appear (bet you weren't expecting a Sally joke!)... You could have five more ideas I haven't a clue about. But, y'know, if I were a fanatic terrorist who had already set off bombs in areas NEAR the portals, my next move would be to try and blow or bury the portals. Biiiig bada-boom!

For that exact reason, if I were a fanatic bad guy, I don't know if I'd want to put explosives near the portals. Who knows what they'll do?

But maybe my famaticism would overtake my reason in this instance, so who knows?

History shows us over and over again the fanatic devoted to acts such as terrorist bombings or assassinations are almost always perfectly willing to die in the attempt. As long as they take others with them it's "mission accomplished."
