Sigh. Hope nothing bad happens to Jyna when the shit hits the fan. Always appreciated her. While I'm happy the Lola/Daryla relationship is working out, I do feel bad for Jyna, who ended up the "discarded woman."
There is that: something I enjoyed figuring out for this chapter was Jyna’s perspective on events, based on the knowledge she has. She seriously stuck her neck out to save Lola when she warned her back in Bruglia (as did Rexen, obliquely), but it now feels rather like that trust and risk has been betrayed: the last thing Jyna expected was for Lola to (seemingly happily) join up with the insurgent group. She’s concerned for Lola’s safety, but also dismayed at her decisions.
Unintended consequences, and all that, which can often then lead to further dubious decisions…
