Post-pandemic sometimes I relate to Clarke slugging through life, I really do.

Holland proves an interesting guy. I have some family like that. I can't talk politics with them but they will be there first in a crisis. Funny how people are.

Really strong chapter this week, Simon. Clarke showing why he’s my favourite character and it’s not just cause he’s a grumpy old git like me 😁

Flashbacks really worked showing his complexities and doubts and even gave Holland some hope of redemption, proving that no one is entirely bad. Maybe 😁

Thanks, Daniel! There's a lot of luck in writing, I find, and with this chapter I was very fortunate to have multiple strands come together at the same time in a resonant way. We've been heading towards this moment for Clarke for about two years, but even I was surprised that it happened here specifically.

Yeah, you weren't TRYING to show Holland's redeeming characteristics, but it's good to know he's got a couple.

Dude, you got me. As soon as the Earth First rioters started, I KNEW this chapter was building to Clarke being saved by the koth spokesentity, but it fucking worked. You fucking got me. I teared up.

Bra. Vo.

Thanks!

Sometimes in a story it's satisfying to have the thing happen that you've just predicted will happen. Quite often at the end of a film I'll be willing it to end at the point I THINK it's going to end at, because it would be a perfect ending. Sometimes the film does it, sometimes it fumbles it.

This chapter really shows the unique strength of the long-running serial: the moment at the end of the chapter is something we've been building towards for over two years!
