Happy belated 2-years.

Lola's patch is a clever one, but she's also gotten a taste of unexpected consequences.

Speaking of "getting a taste," I'm not finishing that joke. But, on the topic of sex, there's times you need some details, times you don't. Point was made, it didn't become bad porn, and it's a scene we needed to see to show character growth - not only in how Lola dealt with Daryla, but the orgy room. I doubt Lola of six months ago would have handled the situation with aplomb and jokes. She'd have been staring at her shoes, blushing.

Hopefully Lola won't completely lose her innocence and wonder as she matures, but she's in a tough job.

Speaking of tough jobs, we'll assume Drauk, once satisfied of Lola's identity simply let her through as a known acquaintance (of similar profession). I've had five flights in the last two weeks, and TSA/Customs is always a pain. Passive/illusion magic aside, there's all kinds of mundane ways to make a party go wrong. Then again, this was a gathering of the rich, powerful, and famous, thus people subjected to less scrutiny by peons.

But I'm sure plenty in Palinor would disapprove of the orgy room. Hopefully all involved were *ahem*volunteers or paid professionals.

As you say, sometimes you want the details, sometimes they're not necessary. I'm sure we'll have more...details in later chapters of Triverse!

Interesting what you say about the likelihood of people disapproving of the party and the orgy - my reading of Palinese society is that *generally* it's much more permissive than Earth's. Not progressive, mind you: there's still slavery, and it's all very feudal and class-based to the extreme. If you don't have magic, you're not going far. But in terms of sex, and sexuality? I don't think anyone thinks too hard about it, TBH.

Could be my own biases creeping into play.

Obviously I draw from my experiences and what I know of history, but, as far as I've been able to determine the majority of human cultures tended towards a certain amount of sexual repression. Even those which are more permissive tend to express that permissiveness in limited or restricted manners.

There's a potential long discussion here I'm gonna sidestep.

In Triverse terms, I wasn't necessarily thinking in terms of cultural morés. More that I can't see the people in the canyon by the rubbish heap going full bacchanalia. I can see them being quite resentful of the palace party with its fine food, flowing water, and kinky random sex while they require garbage scrapings to eke out survival.

So, more class struggle than basic morality.

Besides, Daryla's "wait till you see the other room" comment hints such activity isn't common. I don't think there's an orgy room in every tavern in Bruglia.

Lola here reminds me of parts of The Dud Avocado. Just subtly in the characterisation in her discomfort (starting with the dress).

Congrats again! 2 years and growing!

Thanks, Kathleen. I'm not familiar with The Dud Avocado. Will go and investigate it!
