Looks great. Love the consistent use of the distinctive green across the bird graphic and buttons.

A couple of thoughts/suggestions: on the About page, the 'A bit about E' section is what really grabbed me. I'd consider putting that up the top, before the 'Why subscribe?' bit.

And on your welcome page description, it reads 'but as I know him as my father', which reads a bit awkwardly. Dropping that first 'as' would improve it. You could maaaaybe also drop the 'These are the serialised stories of E' opening sentence, as I'm not sure it's necessary. And finally, if these are the true stories of you father, I think adding the word 'true' in there would be worth it. 'These are the unpublished true tales...'

Excellent suggestions! I took them all and you know until you get a second set of eyes on the little details, one would never see them. Yes they are true stories, my father was a real adrenaline junkie and ended up building one of the first ever Ecolodges in the middle of the rainforest 40 years ago. Talk about someone who took life by the horns of the bull!

Ah, happy to help! It's weird (and frustrating) how difficult it is to spot these kind of details in our own work. I wish I could turn off my brain's auto-correct and properly see the mess I've written. :)

Your dad's life sounds amazing!

Huh ... for some reason, it hasn't occurred to me to have my students write their About page.

Definitely worth doing! And then re-doing. And again. Over and over. And never being happy. :P

This video was terrific. Thank you. I’m a newbie just setting up my stack and found you through Sarah Fay. Love the collaborative spirit on Substack. Will be watching again for more inspiration and looking forward to more like content. Is there a simple place to see all the Substack help posts together. I’ve been bouncing and skipping to find them Thanks for all your work.

I’m new and totally lost. I don’t know how to set it up to write the books setting things like this app are difficult for me. I’m an architect designed residential houses and I’ll write novels. They’re all on Amazon but I like what you’re doing but not sure how to do it.
