Michael Atkinson "Liked" my comment on the prior chapter earlier to day, prompting me to re-read it. Michael's comment on the raid going well-known, unless... Prompted me to re-read THIS chapter, which I see I didn't comment on two years ago.

Obviously I now have hindsight two years of plot development later, but what really struck me on this re-read was Kaminski's "trip."

It's kind of sweet. At least in Zoltan's mind he looked at a beautiful woman and told her he loves her before collapsing into seizure.

Should a future reader see this, knowing that this comment on a November 2023 chapter comes from a reader caught up to late October, 2025, I don't think it's a major spoiler (yet, SPOILER WARNING) to say, no matter what other twists and turns (and there are a lot) happen, through whatever tragedy and loss (and there is that) may occur, Nisha and Zoltan will ultimately make things work and end up as (arguably) the healthiest, sweetest, most genuine romantic pairing of the story (as of October 2025).

So there's that.

Some of the other things to come. That shit's fucked up!

One can't help but wonder how much evidence was "accidentally" destroyed or how many legal issues were created thanks to the team's messy entrance. Chain of custody alone is going to be a nightmare, if I remember my criminal procedure class right. I assume Boorman knew this and figured the lab was an acceptable loss.
