Well, the future is foul-mouthed! Why do I really want to see a conversation between Pierson and Clarke?
I'll assume the name Pierson is a coincidence and has nothing to do with talking about Pierson's Puppeteers back at Pet Shop 1. 😉

I suppose if John knew that really he was part of a fictional world being read about on a phone in Indiana sometime way before all that he'd probably have an aneurysm.
If NYC is half underwater in Max-Earth maybe the Midwest is the capital of the U.S. now too. Can't imagine D.C lasted much either.
Max-Earth experienced significant ecological collapse, and then a rewilding and stabilising. That all happened long before the portals opened up. The landscape is quite changed, but it depends where you look and how each city and country adapted.

Fuckin, A, PREACH IT, my friend!
Yes, complete coincidence. Although an interesting one.....

I enjoyed this. Clever premise. And I did think, about half-way through, "I reckon he's writing about himself here".
Thanks, Johnathan. Of all the Triverse stories, I think this one stands alone most naturally. It's a nicely self-contained piece.
