In this case it's dropping self-imposed obligations which have gotten in the way of actual obligation.

I don't have children, mind you, so you have a whole bunch of other commitments I lack - yet just the cat with the heart meds presents issues... We have things we need to do in Dublin, one of which will require our car needing overnight service, which we've been putting off because we can't get Ghost into a cattery for a night right now and because we don't want to do the three hour drive in, then the six hour bus ride back to medicate the cat, a six hour bus ride return trip and the three hour drive home - because those bus rides prevent us from doing the OTHER things needing to be done in Dublin. This is, of course, deciding the fees for cattery and hotel outweigh an additional 12 hours on a bus.

I’m running into this conundrum myself at the moment. I think the only thing that’s kept me afloat is writing out a list of what I need to do and then prioritizing the things that need to be done in order of release. But even then sometimes it’s hard to get ahead of the curve. I’m always scheduling a week out but I can’t seem to get past that lol
